Sia arrives at her home, and rushes straight to the bathroom. She pulls her shirt off, and examines several of the scratches that line her stomach and back. They would all fade soon enough. But, she looks in the mirror and gazes directly at the puncture near her shoulder blade - where the bullet had hit. It had closed. But, it left a scar. The first scar that she has ever received. It was. . . ugly. It's puffed slightly near the edges, and would otherwise be a perfect circle. She runs two fingers over it, and winces. It was still sore.
Yet, there was a part of Sia that admired it. Appreciated the mark. Because for but a second, she felt. . . human.
"William, sir, what are we going to do!?" One of the soldiers hisses, tossing his helmet aside. It's clear that the man is frustrated. If not outraged. He was the designated leader this time. And he had failed. "We have chased after that damn creature for years and not once have we caught it. We are getting closer to figuring out who, sure, but. . . sir. . . what if this job is simply. . . impossible?"
The other soldiers in the room are shocked at his words. No one had ever even spoken to William in such a way. William may not be "head honcho" of the Quantum Unit. . . but he was still a powerful figure.
William sneered. ..as he then grabbed the soldier and slammed him through a console
"IF YOU EVER SPEAK TO ME LIKE THAT AGAIN I WILL PUT SO MANY BULLETS IN YOUR HEAD THE HIGHER UPS WONT RECOGNIZE YOU" he says as he lets go from choking the man.
"As for the rest of you...we don't give up on this mission now its somewhere in this city...we find it in whatever form its in...Caelum...son..you find this things human form and don't show any mercy...capture it" he says
Sia is out walking through the city streets. She was trying to think of anything but what had happened. Anything but that scar that she would always have. The more she thought of it, the more she thought of being. . . marked. Actually marked. As a piece of the Quantum Unit's. That thought makes her smile. She belonged to absolutely no one. She never has. And never will.
Her stomach growls. It is lunch. . . and she hadn't even gotten a chance to eat breakfast. Yet, she almost felt sick. "To eat or not to eat. . . that is the question." She mutters to herself, hoping that no one had noticed she had talked to herself. It was something she had become used to.
The wind shifts through Sia's fur as she speeds through the forest, breaking through the foliage as she bounds. She can clearly hear the pounding of rushing feet behind her. Some of the steps are heavy, others are light. She could hear everything. From the Quantum Unit to the birds that burst towards the heavens in a fright. Sia ducks her head to dodge a branch, and the wood skims across her back and breaks as her tail smacks it. Sia picks up speed, but her eyes then widen. She skids to a halt, her paws digging into the ground as she tries to get a grip. Coming to a stop, Sia slowly gazes over the ledge, a waterfall on the other side of the giant chasm.
"There it is! We've got it this time!" a gruff male voice shouts from behind. Sia glimpses over her shoulder to where the noise had been produced. They would be here, and very soon. Taking in a quiet breath, Sia starts to backtrack. She moves a distance away from the ledge, and hears shooting. Bullets barely miss, and are instead drilled into the ground at her paws. They're here. With her muscles tensing, Sia pulls herself back, hunching somewhat. Then, her muscles release, and she springs forward, erupting into a sprint. Then, the moment she reaches the ledge, she jumps. And she soars.
The drop must be over 1,000 feet. Oh. Well over that. And from one side of the chasm to the next must be over 100 feet. Certainly over that. Well over. But. . . Sia's feet meet solid ground once more, as she makes it to the other side. She turns around to look at the soldiers, whose faces must be of disbelief under their helmets. One of the soldiers fire at Sia, but it doesn't hit. She slowly turns back around, and dashes off, completing her escape.
"DAMN IT!" a soldier roars, smashing their gun against the ground. The Immortal Soul had gotten away once more.
William slams his hands down on the console with unparalleled rage.....
"YOU IMBECILES...IT WAS WOUNDED HOW SIMPLE DO WE HAVE TO MAKE YOUR GOD DAMN JOB....GET BACK TO BASE WE'LL SEND IN A TRACKING UNIT AS SOON AS WE CAN" he says ripping his earpiece out his ear.
Caelum was happy at this outcome but hated how obsessive his dad was....
Caelum kept his mouth shut for the moment as he looked at a paused image of the being on the screen he was curious as to what it is because apparently it can take human form....but what really captured his attention was its stunning eyes that seemed to contain the galaxies in each pupil.
"I'm heading home dad I'll keep my eyes open" he says walking out even though his dad ignored him...
Sia had managed to find an area where she could safely shift back into her human form. She stretches, wearing nothing. But, being nude was an all too familiar thing for Sia. It didn't bother her one bit. If anything, she enjoyed it more than wearing clothes. Being in her wolf form, she felt free. And even so with this. But, Sia had found her way to the building she had claimed as a safe zone within the forest. She finds a pair of her hidden clothes and puts them on, then makes her way back into civilization.
Walking downtown with long strides, Sia glances around the buildings. The sun was beginning to set, which made the view of the area even more stunning. She liked how the light played against the glass of the various retails and apartments. Giggling quietly to herself, Sia trudges into a small café. Her stomach growls as her sense of smell is attacked by various aromas.
"I don't remember the last time I've eaten," Sia slightly smiles to herself as she seemed to relax in her spot. Sia then orders a small sandwich and a warm tea, and then finds a spot to sit outside of the café. She watches as people pass by, a majority of them speaking on some sort of cellular device. Technology. That was something Sia wished they had about a thousand years ago.
Caelum was walking home he didn't want to take his unit patrol vehicle home because he was honestly disgusted with the organization he was involved with.
He walked by the Cafe and saw Sia as she was by the Cafe... He could tell she was hungry so instead of just walking on by he approached her... and clearly he has seen her around before but he decided to formally introduce himself.
She was a great beauty so he did not want to in anyway seem like he was a lewd male who is after some sexual favor.
He approached Sia...."Good night...ummm not sure if you remember me but we are in the same school i have seen you around once or twice but my name is Caelum and i hope im not being too forward but can i interest you in something to eat its my treat." he says smiling but he quickly corrects himself...
"Umm you have every right to say no im just offering because you seem like you are just as hungry as I am and if im going to eat i might as well make a new friend" he says
(Haha I almost feel like you didn't read through the old posts. . .)
Sia looks at Caelum and her eyes can visibly be seen lighting up. She sets down her steaming cup of tea, and allows her hands to fall to her lap. Her delicate fingers rest on her thigh, and begin to fidget somewhat with the material of her frilly skirt. A warm smile splits across Sia's face, and she beams up at Caelum from her seat, "It's you~" she chimes, her voice harmonious and welcoming. Her presence careful and gentle. "My savior," she giggles, almost under her breath, her shoulders bobbing somewhat with the laughter. Sia wouldn't forget his face. He was the one who had stepped up and rescued her from those men the other night, as well as having given her quite the kiss. Well, she could have dealt with the men. But that would have looked suspicious.
Caelum looks confused for a second then it hit him like a ton of bricks....
"O MY.....its you....wow my apologies I have so much on my mind as of right now....oh how could I forget" he says....
In all honesty what just happened with his dad was running through his mind.....
"I helped you with those men that day.... I'm sure you could have defended yourself but your a lady so it was the gentlemanly thing to do" he says scratching the back of his head while blushing. ......
He looked into her eyes and they were gorgeous. ..but familiar like pools of color honestly very unique
"My treat after the day I've had with my father it'd be nice to do something nice" he says to Sia
Sia's gaze flickers as her eyes widen somewhat, brows rising just a bit. Her glossy lips part for a second, as if she's going to say something, but instead her mouth remains in the form of a small "o". She blinks, her thick lashes batting together, once and then twice. Closing her mouth, Sia's lips then form into a subtle smile once more. She tilts her head somewhat, curious to know what had happened with his father. But, she decided it'd be best not to ask. After a moment, Sia gestures to the seat in front of her at the table, and tells him, "No, it can be my treat," she reassures.
"No its my treat gorgeous. ..so how was your day today anything eventful happened"
He says gesturing for a server
"Mine was horrible my dad is obsessed with. ...his job claims what he is after is for the good of humanity but I think its bull....just him being obsessed with his work as always" he says
The server come...."how can I help you" she says
Caelum orders and she looks at Sia
Sia rubs her chin for a second, and then smiles at the server whilst she responds, "I'd just like a small veggie sandwich please," and she gives a slight nod of thanks as the server goes back into the building. The sun was continuing to fall, and street lights begin to flicker to life. It would be dark soon enough. Night is Sia's favorite.
Returning her attention to Caelum, she says, "My day has been fine. Went on a little jog," she scratches the back of her head, and quietly laughs. She then decides to ask, "So what does your father do exactly? And I'm sorry to hear that your day was horrible. I wish I could make it better for you somehow." She somewhat frowns.
Sia had watched as Caelum bowed his head, and she tilts her own somewhat. Realizing what he is doing, Sia decides its best to wait to start eating until he has finished. Then, when he begins eating, Sia gladly does the same. She was starving. Going into her wolf form always did that to her. But, Sia doesn't devour her sandwich in a single bite like she had originally wanted to. Instead, Sia takes small and tender bites. Swallowing, Sia gives a laugh, "Well I'm glad to hear that I managed to brighten someone's day."
Sia had noticed Caelum's flickering anger. It was there for a moment, but quickly disappeared. It takes her a while to process what he had asked, and she gives a heavy blink, looking almost somewhat startled. Then, settling back into her skin, Sia replies, "Well, I plan on going home. But you don't need to be bothered with me or anything." She runs her fingers through her hair, giving a sheepish laugh.
"No I insist what kind of man would I be if I didn't escort you home to your father....I mean we're in the same school....unless you don't want me to meet your family" he says afraid that he is assuming to much too soon.
"If anything I wouldn't have to come in or anything just drop you off" he says to her as he reached into his pocket and waved their server over and paid the bill with a $20 tip.
The server thanked him but Caelum just smiled and nodded before turning his attention back to Sia
Sia's thoughts actually started to race a bit. She had never been in a situation like this before. Sia never had to say these words to anyone. "I don't have a family." And for a second, Sia was afraid of sounding ridiculous. No family? Who doesn't at least have one person out there to call a relative? But, it was the solid truth. Yet, Sia tries to sound a bit more normal by giving a small smile and adding, "I live by myself."
Sia could tell he was speaking the truth about not wanting to go home. She doesn't need to think for very long before answering, "Alright then. You can come home with me," she gives a single nod before rising from her seat. She straightens out her skirt and then brushes away a small amount of dirt from her back.
Caelum gives a half smile he really wasn't expecting her to say yes. .
"Ok then let's be off...and don't worry I'll leave in the morning" he says as they walk outside and the wind dances with Sia's beautiful hair making seem like a model on the runway. ....
"Wow" is all he can say as he stares at her for a couple of seconds to long hopefully she didn't notice.
He flags down a cab he wasn't going to use his car as agents vehicles had GPS trackers on them....they get into the cab.
(Driver)"where to? " he asked
Sia gives her address, and the watches as the driver nods before staring back at the road. She sinks back into the seat and begins to fidget with the ruffles of her skirt. She shuffles her feet against the floor of the car. The drive was somewhat silent, despite the occasional conversation on something random that'd come up. When the cab comes to a stop, Sia decides to pay the driver before Caelum can, and she steps out of the vehicle.
She stretches, and stares at her home. It's a small apartment building. And the room wasn't the largest. But, it's just her. Well, except for tonight.
Caelum looks around the small apartment due to his father being wealthy his room is quite large his home is way larger then the apartment but he looks at Sia.
"ITS Perfect... honestly sometimes its nice to be in a cozy apartment it feels warm and inviting unlike a cold large home...its the difference between Marble and Earth" he says to her as he walks up to her slowly....
"So where will i be sleeping" he says to Sia his face close to hers before he turns as he was getting caught up in certain desires
As he walked around he noticed plants and the environment in her apartment was so inviting and calm
Sia had watched as Caelum turned away, a slight blush dusting across her cheeks. She clears her throat, and then replies, "You can sleep on the couch." She gestures to the small living room. "I'm sorry if it's not very comfortable compared to what you're probably used to," she gives a small frown, actually feeling bad. She glances out the window, smiling at the bird that flutters by and rests on the sill. She gives a small giggle, and then takes in a quiet breath.
"its better then what i am used to....thankyou Sia"
He says as he takes off his shirt but he had an undershirt on...... He sat on the couch....looking around.
He see's the bird on the window sill...."looks like animals love you" he smiled
He grabs a couch pillow..."this is a big couch...the odds of you laying here with me are slim to none" he says
Sia give a subtle nod when Caelum says "thank you" to her, and then when he begins to strip she could feel the blush slowly creep back to her cheeks. Then he continues to speak, and Sia clears her throat. She glances over, watching as the bird takes flight, and warmly smiles. Then, Sia's gaze skims across the couch, and she thinks for a moment. A brow is quick to rise as Sia quietly giggles to herself.
"I'm sorry, but I'll have to pass," Sia gives a slight wave of a hand as if to say 'no thanks'. She then begins to turn around, and adds, "Make yourself at home, please~ Kitchen is open if you need it, remote for the TV is around here somewhere, and bathroom is just around the corner."
Then, with that, Sia makes her way into the only bedroom that the apartment has. She hums to herself as she removes her shirt, and then slips her skirt off and tosses it into the laundry basket. Making her way towards the small closet space, Sia opens the door and looks around for something that would be comfortable to sleep in. She pulls out an athletic shirt and spandex, and changes into them. Content, Sia takes in a quiet breath, exhales, and then clambers into the twin-sized bed. She then mutters to herself, "I hope he sleeps well," before letting her eyes close.
