“Welcome all of you on the EOS Cruise! We are glad you have been selected to join us, and we hope your stay is fantastic! Be sure to stop by the pool for a nice dip, and please don’t be afraid to take a daily trip to the all you can eat buffet!”
“Oh dear. . . Please everyone remain calm and stay within your rooms! It appears as though something has gone wrong with our operating systems! But please do not worry! Everything will be up and running shortly!”
“Please! Everyone remain calm!”
The darkness ebbs, but the silence remains. The alarms throughout the ship have ceased, but the racing of your heart remains. What had just happened? You knew that there would probably be a couple of bumps in the road. This is the test run for the EOS Cruise after all. A cruise on a ship through. . . space. You wait. Hoping for the captain of the ship to speak once more and give yet another form of reassurance. But still here is nothing. You step out of your room to see that others have done the same. You open your mouth to ask the person next to you if they know what is happening. Or what has happened.
It’s at that moment, a chunk of the ship detaches and floats away, through the. . . wait. . . the ship’s shield is down. Your eyes widen as you turn your head, only to watch as an asteroid comes barreling towards the ship.
You awaken, sore, but alive. Not a single broken bone. But how? Your vision is obscured at first, and then gradually returns. You blink once, and then twice. Giving a quick shake of the head, the world around you returns. You are definitely no longer on the ship. Taking a glance around, you see there are other people around you, some still unconscious, others struggling to regain composure. All just as startled and confused as you are.
“This sure as hell isn’t Earth . . . that’s for sure. . .”
You and a group of survivors have banned together in order to . . . well . . . survive. Each member of the group will (hopefully) contribute in one way or another.
The planet they are on is known as Orbis. It’s a planet that looks somewhat like Earth, but there are no humans. There are various types of alien races that reside here. Some are within futuristic cities where they are more civilized, and others are scattered throughout forests, plains or mountains and such in tribes. . . some of these tribes aren’t going to be too friendly, either. Also, days are somewhat shorter on Orbis, and there are five moons, and the stars appear a whole lot closer and brighter than they do on Earth. But the group is capable of breathing just fine, and gravity seems to be the same as it is on Earth!
But! The planet’s air might begin to effect each group member differently. They may begin to find themselves gaining powers, like what you read in the comic books. But that won’t happen right off the bat; they’ll have to be exposed to Orbis’ atmosphere for at least another week. For some it may take longer.
Oh! And watch out for the animals that reside on Orbis as well! They aren’t going to look like normal animals on Earth. But hey, you aren’t on Earth any more. So good luck!
Rules and What Not!
1. In order to add a bit more spark to the RP, I’m (as you previously read, if not then go back and read the stuff above this!) allowing people to have powers. But let’s not have everyone getting them at once please (And please don’t just be like “Oh! Hey! Look at what I can suddenly do!” Also, run your power and stuff by me first through PM. We aren’t going to be going crazy when it comes to the powers cuz they aren’t a major part of the RP. . . just sorta to add something.
2. This isn’t meant to be super action packed. At all. So don’t go and try to make it that. They are still human.
3. I feel like we have RPed enough together that you should understand how things work with my RPs, and how I like things to be. Please try your best with posts. Don’t give me little dinky posts. Those are not acceptable. You will be asked to repost. Seriously.
4. Any questions, PM me!
In order to have gone on (and be one of the lucky contests of) the EOS Cruise, you had to fill out a bit of an application. They didn’t select anyone with a really “bad” background . . . and yes they even went and checked records and what not.
(Go ahead and do as you please with your templates~)
(Have to be 18 or older~)
What Power Will They Gain?:
(only allowed to have ONE power. That doesn’t mean control of all elements or anything along those lines. ONNNNNEEEEE. I will be looking very closely and being quite picky with the power)
Vellouria “Vella” Eda Jones Gender:
June 10th Height:
Vella is someone who will go out of her way to ensure the happiness of others, even if that means diminishing her own. But, it’s pretty hard to get her down. Typically smiling, Vella doesn’t like to convey negative emotions around others. If she feels the need to cry or release some anger, she will go somewhere she knows she will be alone. Otherwise, Vella knows she will end up snapping at someone else if she is around a group. So Vella always tries to find a “safety zone”. There are many who at first believe Vella is an open book, but when it comes down to it she keeps more than just emotions to herself. She doesn’t like to tell others about her life, but she always keeps herself open for others to speak to her when it comes to issues or anything. Extremely strong willed as well as quite stubborn, Vella’s grit surprises many. Another thing that REALLY surprises most is the fact that Vella is a nerd. She absolutely loves computers and technology and is very smart when it comes to them. She is almost the epitome of “Don’t judge a book by its cover.” Family:
Brother (10) Friends:
She has quite a bit. Enemies:
Not too many actually. Crush:
Vella’s secret love is technology, but she also loves sports. Someone who is either seen inside messing around with wires and hard drives one day, the next she is probably out jogging 10 miles or so. She participated in track and field as well as the school’s weight lifting and boxing program. So don’t let her size fool you, she knows how to pack a punch. She has also been in gymnastics for 15 years! Her parents wanted an all-around athlete, but they could never tame her inner nerd. Oh, Vella also enjoys hearing other people laugh and seeing others smile. Probably her favorite thing in the world right there. Dislikes:
Not a major fan of books, she has never been able to actually get into one. She also isn’t big on jerks or bullies, so you would never probably see Vella hanging out with the group of jocks at her school. Vella is also a vegetarian . . . which may cause problems on this new planet. Occupation:
Vella operated her own business for fixing computers.
Vella was born into a loving family, and content with life. She doesn’t really have anything too shady in her past. But, that doesn’t mean Vella is little miss perfect. When high school started off, Vella thought the only way to fit in was to harm others. Not physically, but verbally. She wanted to be a part of the “popular” group in school, and conformed to their ways. And the daily routine consisted of picking on other kids. But it was when one kid committed suicide that Vella’s eyes were opened. Vella was suspended for school, which was lucky for her considering her friends had been expelled. When she returned to school it was her turn to be bullied. Kids were constantly beating down on Vella and started to post pictures and signs and write on her locker and everything exploded in her face. Vella’s family moved after she completed her freshman year of high school. And Vella knew she had to clean up her act. And so she did. She was always volunteering throughout high school, she was helping the kids with special needs in every which way, and did whatever she could for not just those in her new school, but the entire community. She even started up a web site for kids who were being bullied to talk. Vella didn’t want to harm anyone anymore. And it was when she befriended the outcast, Iggy, that he got her into computers and technology. And she fell in love. . . With technology. And Vella was never supposed to go on the Cruise. She hacked her way onto the list~ What Power Will They Gain?:
Vella will be able to manipulate technology. You’ll see in the RP.

He was studying accounting as a fall back since he was a little lost in life but then took a production course and fell in love with movie magic so against his parents wishes he changed his major. Now he was doing something he liked and at the age of 22 his cousin taught him how to play poker and with his analytical mind he soaked it up like a sponge...and within 3-4 games he had the game down.Oh his family disapproved even more about poker because of tv they thought it was evil and addictive but Tom plays not too often just enough to get by and has begun investing money he has won and even won the ticket to go on the cruise.

They could not bear telling the child the truth as of course he grew on them and for as long as they knew he was their son. It was heart breaking to find out the truth but he then went on the long search to find his birth family, after a year as he took some time to travel and search and live on his own to see where life would take him. Growing up in this day and age seems like everyone is proficient in computers and Parker is no different which brought him a couple a dead ends as the amount of families with the last name hayes who had children born at the hospital he was born at was quite a few. It seems that he found his sister Rosalind Jolie Hayes a year later, and found out that they are actually fraternal twins.., he is happy he got the height as she is shorter then him but apparently she was born first making him a little brother in both families. He is a very family orientated person and to get to know Rosalind he decided to go on this cruise called EOS with her... although he had to scrap up some money to do so but hustling people in pool halls was easy enough.

Fall out boy - save rock and roll
“It’s up there you dork. But hey, you can call me Lach for short. Pronounced Lock.” Gender:
“Are you blind? Or do you need proof? Haha! I’m just kiddin.” Age:
“I just turned 23. Oi. I feel old.” Birthdate:
February 19 Height:
“What does it matter to you? All muscle anyway *flexes*”
Let’s start off by saying Lach is quite an interesting character. He can be described by some as ditsy and by others he may considered an oddball. Well, both of those would be correct descriptions. When it comes down to it, Lach is a strange person who does some strange things. He has weird habits and has an off sense of humor. He also has a tendency to laugh the loudest at his own jokes. But either way, Lach can be seen as the comic relief of sorts within all the chaos. Well, that is, when he isn’t creating some chaos himself. Just don’t try to take everything he says seriously. He’s also quite the flirt. Or at least he tries his best to flirt. He’s also kind of loud. And annoying. And yeah, good luck! Lach acts the way he does, though, as a way of masking all the pain he holds. It’s almost a form of self-defense for him. Family:
“Who needs them?” Friends:
“I’ve got a couple on my list.” Enemies:
“Oh wait. . . maybe this is where the list comes to play?” Crush:
Lach likes to surround himself with people who he can annoy the best. Seriously. Lach will find people to just bug, and he enjoys the reactions he receives. But in all honesty, it’s much better when he can find people who understand him and know how to just play along with him. Lach also actually likes occasional silence, which is surprising coming from him. Oh, and he is a cat lover. Dislikes:
When people ignore him, he can’t stand that. It doesn’t drive him insane, it just makes him a bit more out there and trying harder to gain some attention. Yeah, Lach can almost be considered an attention whore. But surprising enough, he doesn’t like to be the center of attention, he just wants to be noticed. Occupation:
“I’ve been a lifeguard for 8 years now!”
Lach was born into a troubled household. His father was a raging drunk and his mother was always disappearing, showing up at home with different men whenever his father was gone. And it was one night that things went haywire. Lach was nine years old when his father had shown up home, unexpected. He was supposed to be out at the bar. And he always had a schedule. He shouldn’t have been home so early. He walked in to see Lach’s mother with another man in bed. Drunk and pissed off, he pulled out the shotgun. Lach doesn’t really remember the rest of that night. He woke up the next day in the hospital, and the memories flooded in like a swarm of killer bees. And it hurt like hell. Lach’s father had killed his mother, and the man. Later on in life, Lach would come to be disconnected from his father, never visiting the prison or even reading the letters that are sent to him. He refused to ever even visit his mother’s grave. At the age of 13, Lach found a love for the water. He would sit under the water at the local pools for minutes upon minutes. And he fell in love with the water, and swimming, surfing. . . anything that would get him close to the water. Because it was a way to escape. There’s silence and peace under the surface. Lach then began lifeguarding, and it was after saving a boy’s life that the father, creator of the EOS Cruise, had given Lach a ticket to go on. What Power Will They Gain?:
Rosalind Jolie Hayes Gender:
August 10th Height:
115 lbs Personality:
Graceful, beautiful and a woman never quite content, Rosalind is determined, focused and ambitious and while her only wish is that those around her are happy and fulfilled, she holds on to a lot of hate and baggage that sometimes makes that difficult. Rosalind tends to have a very strict moral code for others, confrontational when she feels someone she cares about has been unfairly wronged and has no problem voicing her opinion in any situation. She holds strong grudges, refusing to forgive those who have done unimaginable damage to herself and those she cares about; typically doing herself further harm than if she could just let it go. Family:
- Mother, Janet - 45
- Father, Daniel - Deceased
- Adoptive Mother, Margaret - 82
- Adoptive Father, Paul - Deceased
- Twin Brother, Parker - 23
- Sister, Clarissa - 15
- Brother, Stefan - 14 Friends:
A few, though Rosalind tends to distance herself. She doesn't have friends who are particularly close, but prefers to confide in her family. Enemies:
A few exes, maybe. One in particular. Crush:
Above all else, Rosalind has always loved dancing, particularly ballet, though she will partake in other styles. Having been dancing since she could walk, she once dreamed of becoming a world-class ballerina and lost herself in her music and ballet shoes. As well as this, Rosalind also loves romantic novels, films and just the general idea of romance. Although such childish notions have somewhat faded over the years, she still holds some dear to her heart. Rosalind likes feeling safe, and knowing those around her are safe. Occupation:
As the eldest daughter of a beautiful, happy couple, Rosalind's life was like a fairy tale, until the car accident. She lost her father at the age of thirteen, and her small family was left in devastation. Her mother could not and would not find work, for her husband had been the sole provider for the family, and she had not the skills to face the world, or so she said. Rosalind became a second mother for her younger brother and sister, who were 4 and 5 respectively. Money ran short, and her heart broke when her mother forced her to give up ballet lessons, but it was the for the good of the family she told herself. As the family slipped further into chaos, Rosalind developed a strong grudge against her mother, and eventually lashed out at her for standing by and watching her children wither away. In the heat of the moment, she packed up their things and left. With only fifty dollars, Rosalind was stuck at a bus depot with two small children, until discovered by authorities. They did threaten to send her back to her mother, though she had the sense to explain the situation, and she and her siblings were put into foster care; an elderly couple with no children of their own took them in, and Rosalind continued ballet whilst her siblings were sent to good schools to get a decent education. Despite missing her mother, she made no effort to get back into contact with her. She loved her adopted parents dearly, though upon turning twenty one, Rosalind met Ross. Ross had contacts in New York with one of the top ballet companies in the USA. In an attempt to further her career, Rosalind packed her bags and headed off with her new boyfriend. Their relationship was complicated to say the least, and she found him to be overly-possessive and easily jealous, though she took little notice in the early stages. Shortly after joining the company, Rosalind was cast as the lead role in an upcoming performance and couldn't have been more thrilled, however her boyfriend had other ideas. Terrified that he would leave her to pursue her career after so much success, Ross put broken glass into her toe shoes. Badly injured, Rosalind recovered but found she was unable to dance as well as she used to. Afraid of this newly revealed side to her boyfriend, she fled back to her home to reunite with her siblings. She took up work as a ballet instructor for younger children, feeling she could never dance professionally again. It was around this time that she came into contact with her biological twin brother Parker, and the fact that her mother had not told her she had a twin only fueled her grudge for her. Her adoptive father Paul was very sick around this time, and upon dying left Rosalind and her siblings a large amount of money. On a whim, Rosalind bought a ticket for the cruise, thinking that if she couldn't dance, she might as well leave some sort of mark on the world. What Power Will They Gain?:
Once, she might have wished to become a famous prima ballerina, but the opportunity has been lost to her. Fears:
To pass through this world forgotten, without leaving her mark. Favourite Quotes:
“What is normal? Normal is only ordinary; mediocre. Life belongs to the rare, exceptional individual who dares to be different.”
“Life is like that - twenty minutes of misery for every two seconds of joy.” Theme Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4eeOBuPY7vI
In The Air Tonight by Kelly Sweet
(Had to repost because the message was too large!)
Daisha is full of spunk and attitude, and she refuses to take shit from anyone. She is sharp-tongued and quick witted, having a comeback for almost any statement or complaint tossed at her. Even if it’s not towards her, she will usually speak up. Certainly not afraid to speak her mind, most have come to believe that Daisha has no filter. Sentences can either be seen packed full of swear words, or on the complete opposite spectrum where sentences may be philosophical, or nonsensical. Most of the time, it depends on Daisha’s mood at that approximate moment. Daisha is also incredibly independent, which may cause conflict when placed within groups. . . so it will take some time for her to get situated with the rest of the survivors. But when the time comes, Daisha has the capability of being a great leader. And due to her past, she has more nightmares than the average person, as well as the occasional episode of a daymare or a panic attack. Family:
“Rather not talk about it.” Friends:
“Not a big fan.” Enemies:
Unknown to many would be more or less all of the things Daisha likes. She is quick to state the things she doesn’t like, but when it comes to what she favors, that is another story. Daisha is actually somewhat of a nature lover. She grew up camping and later on practically lived in the woods. It’s incredibly peaceful, and, well, it was a way for Daisha to escape. Daisha is also quite the writer and the artist, though she doesn’t really want anyone to know that about her. Whenever Daisha isn’t residing within the woods, she could be seen in the alley ways and back streets doing parkour – something she grew to be very skilled at. Dislikes:
“Where do I begin?” Occupation:
Daisha was only twelve when it happened. It was an awful car accident, and she still has the scars to show it. Well, physical scars. The mental scars hide deep within her, arising as they please. Both of her parents did end up passing away, her father killed at the scene of the crash, and her mother dying later in the hospital. Daisha was in a coma for two weeks, and when she woke up she had to be taught how to write and speak and walk again. It took quite some time for her to get back on track again. And even though her physical abilities returned, mentally she was still shattered. She could speak, but she still refused to do so. And she became filled with anger and frustration, and the way Daisha later learned to release her anger is through parkour. She would run from roof to roof, moving and flipping and just letting herself go. At the beginning, she had a couple of broken bones here and there, but nothing that would slow her down. Daisha refused to be held back. That was until she met Gordon. And it was upon meeting Gordon that she spoke her first word since the incident. She had been mute for nearly six years. Six years of fighting on the streets. Living on her own. And wandering through the surrounding forests of her small city. And at the age of 18, Daisha fell in love with Gordon, who was only three years older. He became her everything. He was the family she had lost during the accident, and she poured her entire life into him. Her trust, her heart, her soul. Everything. And he gave it right back to her. Well, that’s what Daisha came to believe and feel. She found out after being with Gordon for two years that he had been cheating on her for five months. It took a while for the idea to sink in. Daisha refused to believe for a week, until finally it struck. And everything broke loose. Years of pain and nightmares and congested fears and anger. It exploded from Daisha, and right at Gordon. He was sent to the hospital, with no more than a broken arm. Much less than what Daisha went through. Sent to prison for a short amount of time, Daisha was released to find herself alone in the world again. But within her dark views of the world, a spark shone through. A kind man gave her a ticket on the street, telling her to smile and to have a great day. It was a ticket for the EOS Cruise. And what a better way to get away from people, to get away from the world, than to be in space? What Power Will They Gain?:
To be determined. (Mainly because I’m tired.)
