Okay, I love FMA with a passion, and I heard that there is another series related to it (sorry, I can't find the right word- been taking standerized tests all day (and sorry for that epic spelling fail)).

I've only seen one episode, and I'm sad to say that it does not hold my interest. I was expecting a continuation of the story- and nothing other than that.

Have any of you seen the new series? If so, what did you think?

It rains and it pours when you're out on your own. If I crash on the couch can I sleep in my clothes? 'Cause I spent the night dancing, I'm drunk I suppose, and if it looks like I'm laughing, I'm really just asking to leave.

It's starts at where the anime splits from the manga and is following the manga to the end. So you can look at it as an alternate ending somewhat.

Where does it split? (In the story, I don't read the manga).

They are pretty much identical up until Nina dies. After that, the anime started introducing different plot elements and characterizations, and it went in a completely different direction at about the halfway point.
